I’d Like To Believe That I’m Over You

I’d like to believe that I’m over with everything about us.

I’d like to swallow the reality that we’re no longer there — at that season we used to. To you, my name is just a name with good memories attached to it.

I’d like to believe that we’re now moving forward with our lives and it doesn’t matter who stayed and who’s gone. We grew up wanting too many things we cannot have and we’re sick and tired of it now. We have learned what reality is. Some days we barely survive, but we still try to float even if sometimes we are emotionally drowning.

We do our best to become the best and I have seen how much reality changed you and how much it changes us.

Part of me wants to believe that we are still the old us, but I have to admit to myself, I have to accept that it was just part of my history now.
